The Business and company name, "Creative Image Studio" was inspired and registered by its owner Ted Townsend in 1982. Ted Townsend's background in photography begins in the basement of his Mother's and Father's home in Sussex county NJ. At the age of 8 years old, his Father Ted Townsend Sr. an avid photography hobbyist, showed young Ted how to take pictures and develop and print them in black and white. As a young boy, he was fascinated with this thing called photography which eventually led him on to become President of the Photography Club in High School. During and after College, he studied the fine art of Photography. Working for other professionals in the 70's gave him the confidence he needed to photograph his first wedding in 1974. The wedding was a complete success and some of those images can still be seen at Ted's Studio upon request. This began a career covering a span of 27 years of professional photography to the public. Ted has done Wedding Photography in Mexico City Mexico, Pittsburg PA, Boston Massachusetts and have been asked to do weddings in Europe. Ted Townsend joined a Professional organization in the 80's and became a Certified Professional in the Wedding category and Portrait category in 1987-1992. He went on to gain notoriety when he was called upon by film giant Fuji Corporation to Photograph a bride. Not knowing if he would be chosen from the hundreds of competing entries, Fuji Corporation notified him that his Photography had been selected to be displayed at Jacob Javits center in NYC, and around the USA in Fuji's professional exhibit for professionals. Creative Image Studio continues to flourish today with many brides traveling great distances to see his work in person, than go on to have him photograph their wedding personally. Some of the other areas of expertise include, Pet photography, Model photography, Head shots, Portraiture, Commercial and Industrial Photography, Restoring old Photographs, Children and Family, Passports, Id’s . Creative Image Studio is not a home location with a section converted to a studio; rather, it is a street level storefront location that had been in its present location for over 21 years. The parking lots (Newton Movie Theater upper and lower), are well lighted and easily accessibly to the public. There is also an abundance of parking. If your coming from the direction of Sparta (Route 15) to Newton, you can also find parking in front of Creative Image Studio. The web site “www.creativeimagestudio.com” written by Ted Townsend may be nice but there is no substitute for the pictures you will see in his Tri-State Showroom located in Newton, NJ.
